Disc Golf Videos - Backhand

ExerciseDisc GolfVideo

These are some of my favorite disc golf instructional videos for backhand throwing. The backhand is the most basic throw in disc golf. Some people find a forehand to be more natural for them. It's not for me.

Tristan Tanner gives some very basic and useful tips to get more hip rotation and more spin.

I think Robbie C nailed it in this video. Stop pulling the disc! Keep that throwing arm loose, and focus more on swinging that arm, while enabling the body turn with the non-throwing side. Check this out!

Kristian Kuoksa, a 1000+ rated Finnish professional disc golfer, says to come up through the legs to generate more power as you release the disc. Most importantly, for me, he also talks about keeping the elbow up and out, which helps keep the hand outside the disc, generating more spin. I tend to start with my elbow out and then bring it down and in during my pre-release forward motion.
